Hannah

THE SHORT VERSION: I’m Hannah…. I take pictures….. I love my family. I love & live for Jesus.
THE SLIGHTLY LONGER VERSION, that is way more interesting than……………………….the shorter version!
Well, if you want to know the truth, it all started when I won a big award for an awful painting I did in the 1st grade. You see, 1st graders should just be happy to just win a big award, not confused because they awarded me for a painting even I knew was ugly. It continued on into the second grade, when my mom swore that I would be fixing my own hair for the rest of my school days, which I did (Side Note: A braid with lumps should be against the law, even @ 7am, just sayin…). I would say it got more and more entertaining as I started to develop my own style in the 3rd grade; a style that was so cool that I had to hide the outfits in my bookbag and change at school.
It was as if there was really no choice in developing it, I mean my mom bought me “art stuff” for EVERY birthday and Christmas. Now, when I say “art stuff,” it wasn’t a couple of crayons and a coloring book, we are talking art SETS people. Not only that, but as a 10 year old trying to sketch, my mom wasn’t ooing and awwing over my stick figures, oh no, she was going through my drawings and showing me how to add dimension through shadowing or how to make it look like the eyes were reflecting light. To seal the deal, I’m the oldest of six that went through most of my childhood in a town with no stoplights, not one! I was forced to create things ALL the time AND had subjects to help me at my games! Just ask my brother, Josiah, who I wounded with a curling iron trying to make him look like Joe from New Kids on the Block!
Art & Creativity, in many different forms, has always been, is just, and will always be a part of me. It’s how I see the world and don’t really know it any other way. I’m not the bomb-diggity, most awesome, can’t touch this, out of my way, amazing photographer, but I love people, I love… love & loving people, and I love pictures. And if I had no blog & no photography business, none of that would change…. Except I’d have to get another job.
