I visited 5point Church a few weeks ago, and took a couple of quick pics of church stuff and Michelle’s babies! 5point is a church in Easley, SC, and it’s very similar to theROCK. If you’re in the upstate looking to plug in to a relevant, edgy church that’s all about Jesus be sure to check it out, you will not be disappointed!!!

Busy seems to be my middle name lately. Along with being a wife, mommy, sister, daughter, & photographer, I have two other important jobs as well: church stuff and consultant stuff. Most of the time all of my jobs get the amount of time that they need, and the balance of all these roles is not THAT difficult. Meaning, that it still affords me the luxury of being with Gray a lot, and well, I’m not living on the streets, yet. However, for the past month I’ve been doing a lot of consultant work and have had to be on the road!!! Tons. I’m thankful, because I prayed for it, but when one job takes a little more time, all the other jobs and titles suffer in a MA-JA sort of way. So, if you’re reading this email and haven’t heard back from me yet, now you know it’s nothing personal!

My friend, Jenny, called me a some time ago and wanted some new pics of her cuties. It took us a little while to get together because of our schedule and the durn weather, but we met up before Easter to get some really fun shots. Maddie Rose is in Kindergarten this year, and the best little poser you have ever layed eyes on… As I was going through the pictures, I was laughing the entire time. She would look away and laugh, then cut her eyes at me, then lay her hands beside her face, then giggle, it was awesome! Emma Kate knows how to hold her own in the posing realm as well. She reminds me so much of Gray, you look in their eyes and you feel like you’ve met an old soul.

The first annual Gone to Greenville sessions were looking pretty good three weeks out; however, after having 5 of my 7 sessions cancel for various reasons it wasn’t lookin’ so H-O-T-T, if you know what I mean!

I could of groaned, pouted, stomped my feet, cried a little, be mean to my husband, cancelled it, but oddly enough, I had learned through teaching the kids at my church that even though sometimes we think life is not fair, God gives us exactly what we need. As I was teaching these kids what Jesus went through and did not stop once to whine like a baby about it not being fair, I could hear God speaking to me as well. I decided to pick up my big girl britches and headed towards Greenville with a good attitude.

My first shoot of the day was little Marlee. What a stinkin’ cutie! Katie, Marlee’s mom, was such an encouragement to me. I don’t know about other photographers, but this one is not cocky. Confident, not cocky!!! It makes my day to hear someone tell me they love my pictures! It makes it worth dealing with other “stuff” in the biz, to know someone, besides yourself, likes the photos you deliver. Katie & Jason thanks so much for having me photograph your little blessing. Give me a call this summer when you guys come to the beach.
